I am predominantly (but not always) a Botanical Watercolour Artist. Inspired by the natural world and its elements, their interaction and reaction to each other in time.
Everchanging landscapes, seascapes, ageing structures, and the atmosphere and emotions felt as a result.
I prefer to work outdoors (En plein air) whenever possible, within the environment of the subject I’m painting. This better captures the colours, textures, tones, shadows and reflections with the changing light.
Working in various media, watercolour, inks, oil, pastels and often mixed media to introduce interesting textures and varied representations.
With an early foundation in Art Education, my career later expanded into the design sector, collaborating with Interior Designers and Architects, producing Bespoke interiors, Concepts, Original artwork and 3-dimensional commissions for Hotels, Restaurants, etc.
